The University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University chapters of the Society for Biomaterials will host the third annual Mid-Atlantic Biomaterials Day event on Saturday, February 23rd, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. in A. James Clark Hall.
The theme for this year's event is "Translational Biomaterials: Closing the Gap Between Bench and Bedside." As such, all of the talks will focus on one stage of the pathway from discovery to market. Attendees will hear from speakers with a broad range of experiences from academia, industry, and government - making this a great networking opportunity for students interested in pursuing a biotech-related career.
The event will be held in the A. James Clark Hall Forum at the University of Maryland, College Park on February 23rd, 2019. It will feature a poster session for students, for which the abstract deadline is Saturday, February 16th!
Students who submit one of the six best abstracts will be asked to give 5-minute rapid-fire talks. Additional information regarding registration and abstract submissions is available online.
More details are also available via the event flyer.
