Chemical Industry Outreach Workshop
Presented by the Baltimore FBI Field Office and the University of Maryland Department of Environmental Safety, Sustainability and Risk

The one half-day workshop will cover a wide range of precursor chemicals and their potential uses as improvised explosives. The event includes a classroom presentation and an outdoor explosive demonstration on the effects of explosives.

The half-day workshop will be offered on both Monday June 24th and Tuesday June 25th in Easton, MD. Each day will begin at 8:30am and conclude at 1:00pm. There is no cost to attend, but there is limited seating. Please RSVP with your preferred date to jolouden@fbi.gov to reserve your spot. The precise physical address for the workshop will be provided later.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in learning about chemical explosives or seeing (and hearing) actual chemical explosions in action should attend. In their outreach efforts, the FBI looks to engage with scientists and community members who are working within industries where chemical
precursors are used. Your participation as a scientist and research community member is welcomed.
