Title: I get diversity, but what is inclusion.... in STEM?

Abstract:

Whereas the University of Maryland has a reputation for being a diverse, international community, having conversations about diversity or understanding why it even matters can be challenging. Let’s come together to explore some common myths about diversity in STEM fields, while also learning some language and skills for creating inclusive and mutually respectful interactions.

Bio:

Carlton E. Green is the Director of Diversity Training and Education in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI). Prior to joining ODI, Dr. Green was a staff psychologist in the University Counseling Center.
