Professor William Bentley, the Herbert Rabin Distinguished Professor of Engineering, receives the 2003 Clark School Outstanding Faculty Research Award

Dr. William Bentley, the Herbert Rabin Distinguished Professor of Engineering and director of the Bioengineering Program has received the 2003 Clark School of Engineering Outstanding Faculty Research Award. This award recognizes his exceptional contributions to chemical engineering and bioengineering research, especially in the application of green fluorescent protein in monitoring protein production in insect larvae. Dr. Bentley's work has brought high distinction to him personally as a preeminent leader in the field, and also has brought recognition to the Clark School, the University, and the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute.
