BGSS is a student organization within the Fischell Department of Bioeningineering at the Univerisity of Maryland, College Park. We seek to unite graduate students from over 20 labs into an organization dedicated to aiding academic and professional growth, while providing an outlet for supportive social interaction.

Bioengineering Graduate Student Society (BGSS) is a student-led organization focused on supporting academic and professional growth and fostering social support for graduate students in the department. We plan museum trips, biweekly "Research & Pizza" student seminars, professional development events, monthly happy hours, and much more. Follow us on social media (Instagram and Twitter) and add our Google calendar to stay updated on our events.
BGSS is here to support all graduate students and assist them in their graduate school experience. We act as a liaison between the graduate student community and the department, so please if you need anything reach out to anyone on the board. Lastly, one first-year student will have the opportunity to be on the Board as the First Year Class Representative. We will be holding elections in early September.
