The Fischell Department of Bioengineering will hold its 3rd annual retreat for faculty, graduate students, and staff, on Thursday, August 27th, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.*
Similar to previous years, the goal of this retreat is to Enhance and Promote Interactions and Conversations (EPIC)! This event will be a great opportunity to welcome new Ph.D. students, discuss ongoing research, and create new collaborations, even if socially distanced.
Because this event will take place online, prior registration is required in order to receive login information.
In addition, graduate students are invited to submit abstracts for a traditional 15-minute oral presentation or 5-minute TED talk, through which they can practice delivering their research with a broader approach. An example abstract (~300 words) template is available online for those wishing to present their research.
Abstract submissions are due no later than Monday, August 3rd at 5:00 p.m. Graduate students will be notified of their acceptance by Friday, August 7th.
Registration and abstract submission information is available online. Graduate students who designate their interest in presenting will then receive the prompts to submit an abstract via the same form.
