This year, the University of Maryland chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society will host a Speed Networking Event on Monday, November 16th, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. ET.
This event will gather Fischell Department of Bioengineering (BIOE) and Biological Resources Engineering alumni from across the country, as well as current BIOE students, advisory board members and friends of the department! Following a short welcome from Dr. John Fisher, BIOE chair, participants will take part in multiple rounds of small, informal networking groups based on their identified areas of interest.
Our aim is to allow students to forge connections with those working in the field so that they can ask questions concerning their future as a bioengineer. In turn, our alumni and friends of the department will network with one another while gaining invaluable insights and a unique perspective on how the field – and the curriculum – is evolving.
In order to ensure that we connect you with students, alumni, and friends of the department who share your interests or areas of expertise, we ask that you please register by no later than Friday, Nov. 13th.
