The BCE Program is excited to announce a Computational Research Workshop, a 5-session series this Fall. We will cover practical skills for computational research, including:
- Python programming with Jupyter Notebook and Google Colab
- Using CPU and GPU resources in Google Colab
- Git & GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Understanding and working with research code repositories
- Visual Studio Code (VS Code) and other useful research-computing tools
All BIOE/BCE undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to participate. No advanced programming experience is required. The goal is to help you build practical skills for conducting and collaborating on computational research projects, skills that are also valuable for graduate school and industry.
The workshop will be offered in person at the Shady Grove campus, with a virtual option available.
Workshop Schedule
Dates: September 9 - October 7
Day: Wednesdays
Time: 4:00 to 5:00 PM (Expected session length is ~45 minutes)
