The Fischell Department of Bioengineering invites BIOE graduate students, postdocs, and faculty to attend our fifth annual EPIC (Enhancing and Promoting Interactions and Conversations) retreat on Friday, August 26 at the Hotel at the University of Maryland (7777 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740).
Please note: As of Aug. 2, we have reached RSVP capacity. If you would like to add your name to our waiting list in the event of cancellations, please email Alyssa Tomlinson (email@example.com) at your earliest convenience. We will notify you as soon as possible in the event that a spot has opened up. (Incoming Fall 2022 graduate students should not RSVP unless you are unable to attend the retreat.)
Current BIOE graduate students who have already RSVPed and who wish to present their research will have the opportunity to do so via a five-minute TED Talk or 15-minute oral presentation. Those who have not yet submitted their abstract (either via the RSVP form or by email) should email their abstract directly to Sean Carey by August 8th.
Programming details will be shared soon with all BIOE faculty, graduate students, and postdocs. The retreat will kick off with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude with a happy hour beginning at 5:00 p.m.
This event is made possible by the University of Maryland Chapter of the Bioengineering Graduate Student Society.
If you have any general questions about this event, please email BIOE Assistant Director of Communications Alyssa Tomlinson.
