Natural Gas Clathrate Hydrates
Presented by E. Dendy Sloan
Weaver Distinguished Professor, Chemical Engineering
Center for Hydrate Research
Colorado School of Mines
In this seminar we will discuss and address the questions: What are hydrates ? How can we deal with expanding knowledge base in hydrates? What fundamental field/lab studies are being done? What are the principles and limits to hydrates in nature? What is one way forward for the future of these compounds?
About the Speaker:
Dendy Sloan holds the Weaver Chair in Chemical Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, where he directs a team of 34 researchers in the area of hydrates. His third edition of Clathrate Hydrates of Natural Gases, co-authored by Carolyn Ann Koh, was published in 2008. He is a fellow of the AIChE.
