Kim Building Garners Award for Clark
The Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building was one of six buildings built by Clark Construction that were recognized by the Metro Washington and Virginia chapters of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).
Clark Construction, which was founded by A. James Clark, '50, benefactor of the Clark School, finished work on the Kim Building in 2005.
The building garnered recognition earlier this year from the Washington Building Congress for the craftsmen who worked on the building (Clark Construction served as the general contractor). Clark Construction also won the 2006 Honor Award from the National Building Museum and A. James Clark won the OPAL 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers this spring.
