Development of the optical instruments for biological and medical application. Current focuses are to understand (1) Tissue biomechanics during neural tube closure of embryo, (2) Cellular nuclear mechanics, (3) Cell biomechanics in breast cancer, through the developed Brillouin technique, an all-optical approach to access the mechanical properties of biological samples in a non-contact and label-free manner.
